Welcome
to Waggy Tales
of Fantasy and Fun for All Ages
Today's
Tales is Wannabe Winnie...
It's
hard climbing five flights of stairs with your arms full of
books, especially after a long day at school, but when you
are eight years old and you live in a flat with your mum who
doesn't have much money, there's not a lot you can do about
it. So, Winnie puffs her way up to the third floor, then sits
on the step for a few seconds break before she carries on.
Her books are precious at the best of times, but today there
is one extra special book in her bag. That's why she doesn't
stay sitting for too long before she is on her way climbing
the stairs again. She and her mother live in flat number 26,
which they have called " Wisteria Way". You can
tell that's the name because Winnie made a nameplate which
is nailed securely to her front door. Mrs. Budrow, Winnie's
mum, does have a job, luckily. She works on the reception
desk at the local council office.
To
be continued within this week...
